Terms and Conditions for Campsite Use
Welcome to our campsite! To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, please read and adhere to the following terms and conditions:
- Entrance and Vehicle Damage
- Our campsite entrance is quite tight. We hold no responsibility for any damage to your vehicle upon entering or exiting the field. Please proceed with caution.
- Overhead Power Cable
- There is a power cable running above the campsite. For your safety and that of others, strictly no kites are allowed on-site.
- Noise and Music
- We kindly request that there is no amplified music on-site out of respect for neighbouring locals, other campers, and the tranquil environment we aim to maintain. Not everyone wants to listen to your drum and bass—no matter how good your taste in music may be!
- Dogs
- If your dog is a roamer, we would prefer if you kept it on a lead and took full responsibility for its behaviour. Additionally, please ensure that all dog poo is picked up. Dog poo bins can be found in the village, down at the car park for the lily ponds and beaches.
- Walk-ins Only
- Currently, we are only accepting walk-in campers. We are not taking online bookings at this time.
- Rubbish
- Please take all rubbish away with you. We strive to maintain a clean and pleasant environment for everyone, and your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
- Washing Up Area and Toilets
- Please keep the outdoor washing up area and loos clean for the next person. Children must be supervised when using the toilets. Everyone deserves to enjoy a tidy and sanitary space.
- Property Loss
- Vicars Field Campsite cannot be held responsible for any lost or stolen property. Please take care of your belongings during your stay.
- Smoking Policy
- We have a strict NO SMOKING policy inside the units. If you smoke, please do so outside and dispose of your cigarette ends responsibly.
- Accidental Damages
- Should any significant damage or breakage occur, other than acceptable wear and tear, a charge for replacement may be made. We reserve the right to charge for excessive cleaning where a unit has been left in an unacceptable condition, through waste, litter, interference with a structure, movement of furniture and contents, etc. Guests will be held responsible for any fire, general damage, or alteration to a structure caused by negligence.
- Quiet Hours
- To maintain a peaceful environment, quiet hours are from [specify time, e.g., 10 PM] to [specify time, e.g., 7 AM]. During this time, please keep noise to a minimum, out of respect for other campers.
- Campfire Policy
- Campfires are only permitted in designated areas or in portable fire pits. We do not provide fire pits, so please bring your own if you wish to have a campfire. Please ensure all fires are fully extinguished before leaving them unattended.
- Children
- Children must be supervised at all times, particularly when using the campsite’s facilities, including the loos.
- Prohibited Items
- The following items are not allowed on the campsite: fireworks, firearms, and any illegal substances. Any violation of this rule will result in immediate removal from the site.
- Emergency Contact Information
- In case of an emergency, please contact Jacques Boissevain at 07712170003.
- Weather Conditions
- Please be aware of the weather conditions and prepare accordingly. We cannot be held responsible for weather-related issues, and no refunds will be issued for early departures due to weather.
- Right to Remove
- We reserve the right to remove anyone from the site at any time if they do not comply with these terms and conditions or if their behaviour is deemed unacceptable.
Thank you for your cooperation, and we hope you have a wonderful stay!
